The Translink C-Bus Gateway V3 offers bidirectional communication and control of Clipsal's C-Bus lighting and automation systems via Apple’s iPhone or iPad, illustrating a versatile integration solution. Comprising a hardware controller (sold separately) paired with a dedicated software application, the system enables users to monitor and manage their networks remotely, whether within their local wireless environment or from any location worldwide through internet connectivity.

The implementation is straightforward, with a simplified installation process and configurable options that permit end users to set up and modify their interface pages freely and at will. This flexibility supports personalized control arrangements suited to various applications.

The suite of Translink products serves as an effective bridge into a Clipsal C-Bus network, providing a user-friendly interface that facilitates real-time viewing and management of system status. Its design caters to both residential and commercial environments where wireless control capabilities are essential.

The native iOS application is compatible with both iPad and iPhone devices, functioning as an accessible remote control suitable for conference rooms, presentation setups, or multiple-site management. It allows for comprehensive customization of control pages, empowering users to tailor their interface without requiring technical assistance for updates or modifications.

Multiple Translink controllers across different systems, floors, or properties can be managed from a single iOS device by selecting from a menu, with each controller maintaining its distinct configuration pages. This feature provides efficient oversight of complex automation setups.

In its latest release, Version 3, notable enhancements include support for C-Bus-enabled alarm panels such as HomeSafe, Ness D8/16, and Ness M1; a soft keypad for arming and disarming security systems; dedicated widgets for C-Bus matrix audio selection; compatibility with HVAC temperature broadcast messages from newer C-Bus thermostats; active icons that visually reflect group address statuses; over 40 newly added or redesigned icons emphasizing active states; 64-bit support; and compatibility with iOS 9 and newer platforms.

It is important to note that the app requires either the purchase of a Translink Controller V3 or a firmware update to convert existing V2.x controllers to V3 capabilities.
